BON JOVI ROCKS FOR KERRY

In America we are in the midst of what is called a political "Season," which means that there will soon be an election. With all of the media time commanded by politicians I thought politics was always in season in America.
In any event every 4 years Americans go to the polls to elect a President. This is the "big one," as Redd Foxx used to say when referring to a possible heart attack on his show "Sanford And Son."
Voters choose their candidates for any number of reasons, and for some, who idolize certain celebrities; they look to their heroes for guidance.
"John Kerry," the Democratic candidate, has a huge following in the entertainment industry, not the least of which is the hugely popular rock group "Bon Jovi."
"Bon Jovis Deutsche Web site."
The group has already raised millions of dollars for the Kerry campaign and this past Friday they played to more than 40,000 people at Portland's riverfront.
"Leonardo DiCaprio" was in attendance and oh yeah, so was John Kerry.
T-shirts sporting: "Republicans for Voldemort," who is the villain in the Harry Potter series were spotted, as were pictures of Bush with the slogan, "Some things were never meant to be recycled," compliments of the League of Conservation Voters.
Local members of "Windsurfers4JohnKerry.com," wore T-shirts with the words "Bush don't jibe," a windsurfing term meaning "turn against the wind."
In keeping with political tradition a few fights broke out among the crowd when Republican interlopers attempted to interfere with the festivities.
Music performed at the Kerry rally included Bruce Springsteen's "No Surrender," Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode," and U2's "It's a Beautiful Day."
By comparison the music played at Bush's Portland rally, also held last Friday, consisted of John Philip Sousa marches, and a few Country and Western tunes.
It's patently clear that the musical tastes of the followers of the two major political parties are as different as their political views. The battle lines have been drawn.
