Years ago, when Barry Bonds was just starting out, I predicted that he would become one of baseball's greatest players.
I have to admit though, I didn't think he'd become the all time home run king. Frankly, I didn't think anyone would break Hank Aaron's record of 755 round trippers. But then, I'm old enough to remember a time when no one thought that babe ruth's record of 714 would be eclipsed.
And no, I wasn't around when Ruth was playing. How old do you think I am?
Bonds surpassed Aaron though, he whacked #756 two nights ago, and I predict he'll hang around long enough to top 800.
No matter what, I like the guy, and I'm glad he did it and you can read what "The Daily Fix" has to say about Barry Bonds big record.
