I found an article that says that celebrity star power is on the wane and that soon people will no longer care about them and their lives.
I say that's wrong.
In fact, it seems to me that interest in celebrities is at an all time high and growing on a daily basis. Not only do we have today's young, new stars being actively watched but interest never wanes for people like Madonna, George Clooney and others who have been around for quite some time.
The Internet is largely responsible for this growth in interest in celebrities because fans can get information so fast that at times they are reading the news as it's being written.
There are fan sites, gossip blogs; celebrities own sites, news sites and others posting videos on a daily basis. People can, and do keep up at home, on the job and while on the move via wireless devices.
