The results of Anna-Nicole Smith's autopsy have been released and it shows that the popular star died of an accidental overdose of legal prescription, and over the counter drugs.
The medical examiners and police have determined that there wasn't any foul play involved in Anna's death, nor were any illegal drugs involved.
Here's a link to the story and a complete timeline of Anna-Nicole's life.
I'm sure that despite the findings this won't be the end of the controversy. There's still the issue of possible neglect on the part of the people close to Smith, and her doctors.
In the end though, this is a very tragic situation that should have been avoided, just as with her late son.

Smith's attorney, Ron Rale, told reporters she had been suffering from flulike symptoms for the last couple of days.

How is that: "accidental overdose"? Was she incapable of making decisions about the doses? Was she too drunk or too high to, actually care about doses? Usually those cases are named "suicide".

I think they are trying to cover something up, how long do you all think she had to live with the health problems and all.

Well Anna's death remains an enigma after all, we still don't know everything about it. Too bad, she was a beautiful woman who had so much to live for: her baby.

Another celeb woman on the list of drug deaths. Having the money makes you depressive and addicted? I don't know what to think anymore, drugs simply take too many lives.

Well, she died because of legal drugs and this should raise some question marks regarding the way they handle some situations. The thing they have to do is to go to a psychiatric evaluation before going one way to the priest.

I've read all of these responses..and one really got to me...the one from Drugs Online. My friend you are nieve to think that there is no such thing as "accidental overdose". This can happen and it has happend to some that are just sick, but have a wonderful life to live. I'm living proof that this can happen, as at one time I was taking a very strong sleeping pill, as with the servarity of my diseases I had to have something to 'make' me sleep. Well, even before the problem I have now, I have found myself in many different places in my house where I had been "sleep walking". Well, one night I woke up in my bathroom because I had swallowed something. As I woke up I found myself holding a cup in one hand and a bottle of Morphine in the other! Luckly I had only 6 pills in the bottle, but with the dose before bed that was 8 pills I took in matter of 4 hours. I was not and I'm not now suisidal. I have a great life other than being sick with Anklolsing Spondylitis, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, and other sickness. So see, there is a such thang as an accidental overdose. I had to go to the hospital, but everything was ok. No stomache pumped or anything, other than my doctor worried as he wondered what would have happend if the bottle was full. Now, because I still walk in my sleep, I have to put my meds up where I really have to be awake to get them, and hubby always asks me if I'm awake when he hears the meds rattling. I really believe with all my heart Anna did the same thing or close to it. Usually with suiside there are tons of reasons. She had lost her son, I know, but she also had a newborn to take care of, that I know she wouldn't have left if it were anything she could have helped. My memory is bad too, and sometimes I wonder if I took this or that? I have now put things in containers that I can see if I've taken my meds. Oh, and I'm sure some would say, they can see that out of an elderly woman/man (forgetting their meds, or taking too much)....well I believe it happend to Nicole as it's happend to this 32yr. old too.

I just had enough of people crying their hearts out for A N S. Let's go again on this one: she's not a victim! It all started with skin care and then ended up in coke. Not my fault, the only thing I use is aura cacia (http://vitanetonline.com/description/AC0150/vitamins/Bath-Massage-Oil-

To keep this G-rated, she really was a beautiful woman. But, boy the drugs really took their toll on her, and what a waste to a seemingly nice person.

She really should have taken her addiction more seriously, maybe she would still be here to raise her little girl.

It's obvious now that Anna Nicole was just one in a long string of victims. Since her death, we've also lost Heath Ledger and Michael Jackson - not to mention the little local news stories that talk about death by prescription drugs. It's a real problem. Someone needs to do something about direct to consumer advertising. It's making people want drugs!

Perper says Smith had been on several anti-depressant and anti-anxiety drugs.
The sleeping medication can be used as a sedative for treating insomnia, alcohol withdrawal, anxiety and post-surgery pain.
The autopsy results were delayed after police said they had found additional evidence that might have a bearing on the case.
