Tennis champion, former husband of Brooke Shields, and fellow Las Vegan Andre Agassi has announced that he will; retire after the U.S. Open, later this year.

Agassi is a quiet, classy guy who as a native Las Vegan has been an asset to the community throughout his long, illustrious career.

He is one of only five players who have won all four Grand Slam titles, and his gentlemanly presence will be sorely missed.

I saw Andre in person a number of years ago in a grocery store, and he looked as happy as most guys do in such places, except for me. I like grocery stores because they're one of the few places I'm allowed to go without supervision.

Andre is shown here engaging in hijinks with wife, tennis great, Steffi Graf, and perhaps one of their children, considering the genes, will become a tennis star.

His career has netted him over $30 million bucks, but even more impressive is Andre's charity work, mostly on behalf of underprivileged children, in which he has raised over $50 million.
