TITILLATING TV

I hate awards shows. They may have improved a bit from the time when all the presenters engaged in silly, boring, prepared repartee, but I still hate these shows.
Now the presenters engage in silly, boring repartee of their own design, and the recipients many times use their acceptance speech time to expound on personal views.
Anyway, my wife always has these shows on so she can see what the other chicks are wearing, so I check in from time to time, always hoping these shows will get better.
The 2007 Emmys are history and they generated low ratings.
What a surprise. Some TV executives claim that the reason for this was because the Emmys were up against an NFL game. Yeah right. Award shows are mainly watched by women: how many women choose to watch the football game instead.
